MailBard is a newsletters plugin for WordPress, forked from the popular plugin MailPoet 2.
The MailPoet team has stopped support on MailPoet 2 in favor of a radically different, and non-backwards compatible product, MailPoet 3. However if you want to keep all your MailPoet 2 data, including all history of newsletters, subscribers, lists, and so on, then MailBard is for you. You can even continue using your MailPoet 2-compatible addons with MailBard!
With MailBard, we intend to continue where MailPoet 2 left off.
Additionally, we will be taking responsibility for updates going forward. For example, one of the reasons that finally led us to fork MailPoet 2 is the unpatched security hole in MailPoet 2.8.2. This issue is finally fixed as of MailBard 0.1.0, and we will stay on top of any new security issues or updates that are needed going forward.
